Transportation Details:San Francisco to Napa Valley

Scheduled buses depart from the Hyatt Embarcadero at: 10:30am, 12:30pm, 1:00pm and 3:00pm

SFO ARRIVAL INFORMATION: For International arrivals at SFO, follow signs to ground transportation where you will immediately see a taxi stand upon exiting the terminal. We recommend taking a taxi to the Hyatt (Hyatt Embarcadero – 5 Embarcadero Center, SF) for conference shuttle bus transport to the Napa Valley Marriott.

TRAVEL ISSUES: If your flight is canceled or delayed, or if there is some other logistical constraint, please contact your California Wines representative directly.

A California Wines host, Claudia, will be on site at the Hyatt Embarcadero on Nov 5 to assist you with arrival to the Hyatt, departure to Napa, and any questions you may have. Please do not check in with the hotel front desk. While you wait for your scheduled shuttle, you can Uber/Lyft/Taxi to the sites of SF but please be mindful of your scheduled shuttle time.

SHUTTLE BUSSES SF TO NAPA: Buyer guests have been pre-assigned to a specific shuttle from San Francisco to Napa. Please plan to be on your assigned shuttle bus, as there is limited capacity.

EARLY ARRIVALS: If you stayed overnight at the Hyatt Embarcadero or Le Meridien (walking distance to the Hyatt) please plan to check out by 12:00pm for your shuttle.

Dinner at Gundlach Bundschu

Please meet the shuttle buses in the front lobby/entrance of the Napa Valley Marriott for a prompt departure at 5:00pm for Gundlach Bundschu.

Dinner is at Gundlach Bundschu in Sonoma, California and will feature their wines, along with a selection of additional wines from winery guests joining the dinner. Enjoy the vineyard views alongside a traditional California BBQ.

Wednesday morning has been reserved for follow-up meetings with wineries.

Meetings will be in Atlas Peak Ballroom.

There is a panel discussion being offered to exhibiting wineries. If space allows, buyers will also be admitted.

Friday, November 10

Farewell Dinner at Ram's Gate

Tour groups will reconvene for a farewell dinner at Ram’s Gate Winery in Sonoma at 6:00pm.

Dinner Begins: 6:00 PM
Recommended Attire: Come as you are from the conclusion of your regional tour.
*Please bring a sweater or jacket as you may wish to explore the outdoor spaces.

Following dinner, buyer guests will be transported to San Francisco for their final overnight at the Hyatt Embarcadero (if requested) and departure on Saturday, November 11 or plans of your own.

Key Trip Information

What is Covered During Your Stay

  • Hotel stays and group ground transportation
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner (SEE ALL BREAKFAST DETAILS)
  • During the regional tours, your tour leader will provide you with information on the breakfast arrangements

What is Not Covered During Your Stay

  • Personal incidental expenses – spa services, mini-bar, room service, etc.
  • Additional hotel room nights and transportation outside of the pre-arranged conference and regional tours.
  • Travel Insurance – we recommend you take out travel insurance as the Wine Institute is not able to do this on your behalf.

What to Wear

  • Sunday Welcome Dinner: Casual attire

  • Regional Tours: Casual, jeans ok. Please dress for vineyard & winery visits with sturdy footwear, closed toe shoes. Bring a jacket or sweater for cool temperatures.
  • Winery Dinners: Smart casual. Please bring a jacket or wrap for cool evenings
  • Dress in layers: Afternoons and evenings can be cool and windy, especially in coastal areas. Bring a coat, jacket, or sweater.
  • Tip: Avoid wearing heels

Tips

  • There will be a WhatsApp group for each tour, we will provide the QR code to access these groups prior to leaving for the tour.
  • Traveling in a group is even more pleasant if we do not have to wait for anyone. So may we ask everyone to be on time.
